Downtown Tuesday Painters Exhibition
Tuesday, June 23 10 am to 4 pm / Douglas County Senior Services/ 704 Vermont St. / FREE
The artists, mostly age 50 or older, are part of a group that meets informally Tuesday mornings at DCSS. For four hours on Tuesdays, they come and go in the conference room to paint, draw, sculpt, and catch up on what’s happening in each other's lives while sharing tips and exploring new artistic ideas. These artists’ experiences, both in art and life, enrich their perspectives and projects. Some are just getting started at putting to paper or canvas an idea they dreamed of doing for years. Others have resumed talents they set aside to raise families or pursue careers. All work to express a thought or idea that has meaning in their lives or that they hope will be meaningful to a wider audience. There will also be an art raffle and fun interactive art experiences for all ages!
